Ah, my second Christmas in Purgatorium. My second one ever, actually. I 'member how much fun I had last year, picking out presents and stuff. I think I still have some of those little machina around somewhere...

No, I gotta make them better this year. Way, way better.

In other news, I think I need to reorganize the kynyka. Things are getting maybe a little too messy for me. Surprising, I know. But it's true. So I'll work on that.

[recording starts with a low, feminine groan. shifting of material-on-material. after a few seconds, all sound stops, and her breathing speeds up and becomes pretty shallow. suddenly, there's a scrambling, and her voice comes in, distinctly higher-pitched and panicky.]

[there's the sound of her taking a deep breath as if to continue, and then an abrupt pause. her tone becomes fascinated, curious.]

This is—rumo Shiva there is so much machina around here! Jeeze, whoever hangs out here has some great taste! I mean, look at these tools! [clanking of metal.] Jeeze, if Pops ever got in here, he'd about have a heart attack!

[the clinking continues, and eventually the recording cuts.]

I'm thinking I'm going to build something. Like a hover. A big hover. 'Cause, y'know, a girl can never have too many hovers. I mean, they're so useful. I could tow things all the way across town and not even break a sweat.

A trip to the junkyard is in order, I think.

Well. I can tell some pretty interesting things happened while I was holed up in my garage. But y'know, I'm totally okay with that—I’ve had enough excitement lately, what with my birthday and all.

And I still gotta get around to that party, maybe sometime this weekend. Everyone's invited, except for people who don't want to be invited. And I know there are some of you out there who don't want to be invited but I want to invite, so they don't have a choice.

(Tapping stops, and a loud clatter as the tool is dropped to the ground. Shuffling, light sound of boots upon the floor. Recording cuts abruptly.)
