[she groans, and her voice is pretty freaking pathetic-sounding.]

I think I'm getting sick—or I already am sick. I ache all over, and everything keeps spinning. I'd grab a potion, but every time I try to get up, I kind of uh, fall over.

[she sort of sniffles.]

My floor is actually sorta comfortable. After lying on it for like, an hour, I guess it has to be.

So I'll just wait for everything to stop whirling, okay? Then maybe I'll get up.

[recording cuts.]

Normally when I see something creepy-crawly that obviously doesn't belong in my garage, I let it go on its way. I just wait around until it's gone, y'know? Never met a bug who made me—okay, that's a lie, I have met bugs who've made me cringe.

But I've never really thrown anything at them, y'know? Mind you, this one was like, the size of my head, so I was perfectly justified in my actions. And now I'm out two perfectly good wrenches.

[thunder and rain are clearly audible. her gasping breaths come at irregular intervals. sniffles, a few stifled sobs. thunder booms, and she screams. the recording is cut now and then by static, making all of it hard to understand. her voice is distressed, frightened, panicked, etc.]

[more thunder, and she screams again. a dull thump as she falls to the ground, and a sort of scrabbling sound as she crawls across the floor. she begins sobbing for real, and her words are strangled and almost whispered, muffled by some sort of cloth—a blanket, specifically.]

Syga ed cdub. Make it—make it—I don't want to hear it. Tuh'd fyhd du caa—tuh'd fyhd du drehg.

[she continues mumbling inaudibly. the recording eventually cuts to full static.]

[recording starts with a low, feminine groan. shifting of material-on-material. after a few seconds, all sound stops, and her breathing speeds up and becomes pretty shallow. suddenly, there's a scrambling, and her voice comes in, distinctly higher-pitched and panicky.]

[there's the sound of her taking a deep breath as if to continue, and then an abrupt pause. her tone becomes fascinated, curious.]

This is—rumo Shiva there is so much machina around here! Jeeze, whoever hangs out here has some great taste! I mean, look at these tools! [clanking of metal.] Jeeze, if Pops ever got in here, he'd about have a heart attack!

[the clinking continues, and eventually the recording cuts.]

... Well, it was only a matter of time. She was way too nice to be stuck here for much longer.

I suppose I'd better toss this in, too: The Curious Cait Item Shop will remain in business. Current employees will receive today and tomorrow off in order to pay their respects due to my partner’s departure. I'll see you all again on Monday. Pudding and I will be in charge from now on soon as she stops crying.
